Put your foot down 247
This week I have been working on my August Island Batik challenge. The challenge is Marvelous Mini, a wall hanging, mug rug, or mini quilt. For this project I had to dig deep and I this time I don’t mean mentally.

Welcome to another episode of Put your foot down. It’s been a full and bumpy week in my neck of the woods. First, we’ve had another round of storms and more coming. My home sits on top of a hill yet the yard is still soggy, how does that happen, lol?
Put your foot down 233, a weekly linky party every Thursday. Stop by and share your WIP’s, UFO’s, finishes, or any fiber arts projects.
This is 3 Ikea cubes screwed to a table top that I had. We added casters, a hook on the front and 2 on the side for hanging rulers. There is still a little organizing that needs done, I can sew now. For the top I used a piece of plywood and covered it with cotton batting and fabric.
Work continues in my sewing room. Saturday I started tearing things apart and moving everything around and had a pretty good mess. I was moving my AQ dies to their new home and bent over to pick them up and busted my head open on the corner of an Ikea cube. Sunday and Monday I pretty much did nothing but nurse a head ache. The organization should be completed for next week’s Put your foot down.
Over the weekend I finished my Island Batik March Challenge, with the help of Loki. Of course he couldn’t stay off of the quilt while I was adding the binding. It is also my finish for the Give it a Whirl blog hop hosted by Carol at Just Let Me Quilt.
It’s that time again, the first Island Batik blog hop of the year, a lot of new fabric collections and designs to go with them. The fabric I received is Woodstock designed by Kathy Engle.
