Island Batik and surprise box reveal

A few weeks ago I shared this photo with Accuquilt  blocked out.  This year Accuquilt joined  Island Batiks and gifted the Ambassadors their  very own Accuquilt Go. I’ve been curious about them for a while and am so excited to give it a try.  You can find your’s HERE.  Thank you Accuquilt, I love you!

Stay tuned and I’ll show you how it works in the coming months. For now, I feel like my mother when she bought our first VCR. You know what I am talking about,  kids showing parents how to operate new gadgets.  On the other hand, it looks pretty straight forward and simple to use.   The GO! Qube would have made the Burgoyne Surrounded aka Vertigo quilt so pleasurable making. There is nothing I dislike more than wasting precious time cutting fabric. I predict this will be one of 2 favorite tools in my sewing room.

So lets see what came in the Accuquilt box. Click on thumbnails for an enlarged view.

What’s included in the GO! Qube block you ask?

A video and pattern ideas

Dies for finished block sizes: 4″ and  2″ squares

Half square triangle die for 4″ finished square (this will be awesome to use)

4″ finished quarter square triangle

2″ finished half square triangle

2 3/4″ finished square on point

2 1/16″ x 2 13/16″ finished parallelogram

2″ x 4″ finished rectangle

In the next couple of months after I have had time to familiarize myself with the GO! Qube I’ll share what I have learned.

Island Batik-now all the pretties

In addition to the items shown below, Island Batik sent 2 surprise packages. See the purple package in the first photo. They are to be used and shared later this year. Of course I peaked.

I’m really speechless, I’m overwhelmed with the generosity. All items in this post have been given to me by Island Batik, Hobbs, Accuquilt, and Aurifil as part of the 2019 Island Batik Ambassadors Program. As I use all of these wonderful items I will share with you the sku# ‘s and  a free pattern here and there.

I love the feel of Island Batik fabrics and it stitches so well, I can’t wait to get it under my longarm needle. So without further a do here is what I can share with you from my box today. Come back Feb 14th for free applique templates.

Thank you thank you thank you  Island Batik, Hobbs , Aurifil and AccuQuilt.

    1. Thank you, I’m really enjoying working with all these goodies. I don’t want to leave my sewing machine.

  1. Gorgeous fabrics, generous additions from Accuquilt, Hobbs and Aufifil…you are going to be making some gorgeous quilty projects this year!! I am really looking forward to seeing what you create!!

  2. Congratulations! Enjoy all the goodies. I have had my Accuquilt cutter for a couple of years and could be without it in my quilting adventures. It saves so much time and everything has the Do gears removed and is so accurate for piecing. You really will come to calling it a very favourite piece of equipment!

    1. I was amazed how quick and accurate cutting was. Had I discovered these years ago I never would have found my love of paper piecing.
