Flower Patch SAL final

Is your flimsy finished?

flower patch sew along logo

The Flower Patch SAL has reached it’s end and I slid in for a close finish, I did get it quilted if that counts for anything. It still needs a little squaring, a label and binding but I’m proud to present it to you,

flower patch quilt, paper pieced quilt, foundation paper pieced quilt pattern, island batik fabric, hobbs batting

Thank you all for sewing along and I hope you love your quilt as much as I love mine. Do you have plans for your quilt already?

Hobbs Batting

hobbs batting

For piecing and quilting I used Aurifil Thread and Hobbs Tuscany Cotton Wool batting. I’ve used the cotton/wool blend one other time and love it. It is so light and even though it is a wool blend it is great for cuddling in the summer when the AC is running you out of the house. Their Tuscany 100% wool is amazing!

Fabric

island batik

All of the fabric for my quilt was supplied to me by Island Batik from their Foundations Collection. Not all shops carry each and every Foundation but they are available year around. You can use the Store Locator to find shops in your area. If they don’t have what you are looking for you can request it.

AccuQuilt

Even though this was a paper pieced quilt I did use my AccuQuilt GO! Big for cutting the strips binding.

The final linkup

To our four finalist: The link up will remain active until 11:59pm May 18th central time. Make sure you link up your flimsy, border attached prior to that cutoff. It can be quilted or not, as long as it has a border.

If you have not been linking up you may still share your progress wherever you are with your blocks, I’d love to see them.

I am linking up this finish to Quilting and Learning-What a combo.

Yes I really did lay it on the old dirty truck.
