Flower Patch SAL border

Welcome to the final clue of the Flower Patch SAL and thank you to those who participated. About half way through the sew along it felt like time was standing still and we would never reach the end. But we did! Pat yourself on the back.

The fabric for the border was calculated into the background fabric however feel free to choose your own border color

The width, color or design of the border is totally up to you as stated in the directions. The directions are for a 2″ finished border, mainly to stabilize the seams and to avoid concealing those nice points you have sewn with binding.

I’m really looking forward to seeing all the finishes. Even if you do not qualify for the giveaway I invite you to share your progress on the final linkup May 13th.

Finals & Participants in the SAL

On May 13th (it’s a Friday) the final linky post will go live. The link up will remain active until 11:59pm May 18th, so make sure you link up your flimsy, border attached prior to that cutoff.

Where’s my quilt?

It has been on the frame and off the frame and back on, I cannot decide if I want another border. The plan was to have a finished quilt to share in this post but life happens. Somehow I have hurt my knee which makes standing to quilt a no no.

Last week I lost one of my sisters and couldn’t bring myself to sew at all, all of last week. Worst case I am two weeks behind on everything but am determined to share the finish for the 13th linkup.

  1. Thanks for sharing this quilt (Flower Patch). I have enjoyed making each clue. I can’t wait to see what is next.

  2. I so thank you for the patterns and appreciate the time and energy you take to make them, I am slowly working through the blocks when life is not getting in my way-

  3. I am so sorry to hear about your sister, please accept my sincere condolences. It is certainly understandable why you are behind your projects. I’ll attach the plain border to my quilt but I think I’ll add another border beside that. Thank you for the lovely quilt design!

    1. Thank you Gretchen, please send me your address. Your daughter will cherish it for years to come. I wish I had more time to add an optional border but it will just throw me too far behind and I am hoping I can get this quilted this weekend.
