Hearts on Fire and Put your foot down #83

Welcome to Put your foot down and my stop on the Hearts on Fire Blog Hop. The hop is hosted by Carol at Just Let Me Quilt so make sure you stop by to give congrats on a well organized hop.
Some time had passed between when I signed up for the hop and when I actually started working on my quilt. The theme for the hop is hearts as you have already guessed but not red hearts, any color but red. Well…..I forgot that part. It wasn’t until I returned to Carol’s post for participant links that I noticed it in CAPS. So you will see red here, its a marbled red that is like a dark orange. Okay, it’s red.

Would you like a heart block?

Lovely quilt, Denise. Thank you for the block pattern. Red and white is always a winning combination.

Beautiful quilt, and thank you for the heart block pattern.
Thank you, you are so welcome.
Technically they are white with a red outline. Love the border too. Beautiful!
Thank you, the border was an afterthought hence the mismatched corners.
White hearts, that’s right. You made a beautiful and inspiring quilt, after all. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thank you Turid
Love the heart quilt and that it is red! LOL Thanks for sharing my pillow.
Lol it’s scarlet and you’re welcome. Wish you would have joined the hop.
Love your hearts!
Thank you Susan, yours is the best.
Beautiful quilt! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you
No matter what colour it is it is very pretty. Nice work.
Thank you
Cute block! That’s a lovely shade of red, we’ll just ignore the “not red” part for now!
Lol, thank you
Maybe the hearts are scarlet? Or white? It is pretty, regardless. Thanks for sharing!
Hey I like that, scarlet. Thank you.
The first picture made me think it was just fine – I mean, the heart was white. It wasn’t until I saw the quilt picture that I realized that the outside is a red heart. That’s a good one!! Red is ok is me.
Above someone mentioned scarlet and I’m going with that. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Denise … even if your quilt has red in it, it’s a lovely quilt!
Happy Quilting! 🙂
Thank you Gail. I’m hoping to start on my piano keys tonight and will start blogging Monday. Fingers crossed.
I have participated in many hops and in several of them I have missed a key word here of there. I choose to look at your heart as white with red trim. We are all just glad that you posted this lovely piece for us to view on the hop. Good job and thanks for offering the pattern.
Thank you, but still I don’t know how I missed the RED.
HAHAHA I love your thought process. It’s marble, it’s orange, ok it’s red. You sound so much like me! What you forgot to mention is that it’s FABULOUS! Thanks for sharing the fun pattern too!
Lol. If you lay it next to a true red it really does look more orange, lol. Thank you for stopping by. I’m working my way to the list with all the blogs and sure I will get to yours soon.
Your explanation of the color made me chuckle, it’s a very pretty quilt, no matter if it is red.
Lol thank you Tracy
I’ll go with orangy-red hearts because they aren’t bright red like the usual Valentine color. I love this quilt and the border you added around it! Two colors makes those hearts show up in a beautiful way. Great job on this one! Thank you, Denise, for sharing your hearts with us today! xo
Thank you for hosting Carol
Hi Denise! I had to laugh out loud – okay, it’s red. Yes it is and it is very pretty. It turned out great and it sure looks nice hanging there! ~smile~ Roseanne
I knew you would find humor. Thank you Roseanne. I’m trying to get to all the other blogs and hopefully stop by yours soon.
Your quilt is beautiful! You have white in your blocks too, so they are not ALL red! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, I’ll go with white hearts.
Technically your heart is white with a red background so I think you followed the rules just fine.
That is what I was going for, lol. Thank you for stopping by.
