Put your foot down #112
Put your foot down is a weekly linky party to share your fiber arts WIP’s and finishes, and hopefully make new friends along the way.
Welcome, I invite you to stop in every Thursday and share your projects.

Welcome, I hope you’ve found time to make something pretty this week to share.
For me I’ve had 2 finishes to share, a new sew along and started a new. First, Monday I shared my Log Cabin Tree of Life finish, you can see more here.

Island Batik
Tuesday I shared the finish for the Island Batik Blog Hop currently going on. You can see more here.

And, started the new September Challenge. Island Batik was joined by ByAnnie and all ambassadors received a bag pattern and all accessories to make said bag.

The bag I received is In Control and the fabric to make the bag is Flutter Fly designed by Kathy Engle for Island Batik and that is Moonstone to the far right. Last night I was able to get all of the bag pieces cut.
I’ve made bags in the past that were sometimes hair raising. What’s great about these, Annie has add-on videos for most bag patterns that give tips and trips. The videos are free with a pattern. Inside the pattern package there is a coupon code to receive the video free of charge. Otherwise I think there may be a fee for them, don’t quote me on that.
The Try a Tool hop is still happening. Clicking on the logo above will take you to the Island Batik Blog and the hop schedule. Clicking here will take you to my finish where you can also find rafflecopters to enter the Island Batik giveaway as well as my giveaway. But don’t go yet, there’s still more to see.
New Sew Along
You’re probably asking yourself, “what more can she possibly have to share this week?”. That would be a totally valid question since I have been lacking content lately. Well, this week I also announced the Flower Patch Sew Along that begins Sept 1st and runs through the middle of May 2022. For more information click here. Hope you’ll join me.

I know, it’s the middle of August which is scorching hot for most of us so hopefully these snowmen will cool you down some.
Vicki from Vicki’s Crafts and Quilting comes up with some of the most amazing table runners but here she shared a wall hanging. Isn’t he cute?
Ever wonder what to do with those panels? Vicki gives you an idea here.
Since I’m all about Flying Geese and not just a Vicki fan, Viridian’s blog shared her Dutchman’s Puzzle progress
Beautiful finishes, and fun mystery quilt along!
Thank you, hope you;ll join in.
Hi Denise, your finishes are amazing. I’m going to go visit each one today. Thanks for the snowmen, they did help keep me cool (for a few minutes 🙂 ) Take care.
The heat has been something terrible here so it was nice to turn my mind to cold. Thank you, I really love the Tree of Life.
Hi,
Both your quits are awesome. I really like the blue one.
Have a great day!
Me too thank you. That is my favorite.
I can’t spend enough time watching your Tree of Life Quilt. It’s beautiful.
A big thank you for that. I love the colors and especially the geese and floral border.
Beautiful finishes.
Thank you so much
