Island Batik shipment 2 for the 2023 Ambassador year arrived in good health and I was so excited to discover the goodies they contained. It’s always an exciting to see what is inside and it’s never disappointing. My sewing space was a disaster so for a few days they sat idle while I cleaned around them. Fortunately we are semi organized now, so when the next box arrives with black, white and gray solids it can be opened right away.
Half yard bundle of Blushing Garden designed by Kathy Engle, it is a spring 2023 collection and will be shipping to shops in September. These are to be used in the September foundation paper piecing blog hop.
Island Batik always sends a bundle of half yard cuts of solids, blenders and basics. They are all part of their foundations and are always available. The fabric on top is 6 yards of Doughnut that I will be using in the August challenge.
Pre-cuts aka gradations
Glorious Greens and Precious Pink precuts. The 2 1/2″ strip pack includes 40 strips of 20 fabrics. The 10″ square pack includes 42 pieces of 20 fabrics. The fabric included in the gradations pack are Island Batik foundation. The foundations are always available throughout the year, they are not like the seasonal releases. Yardage is available for each of the 20 fabrics.
Ornate Gems Pre-cut
Ornate Gems designed by Kathy Engle. This is a precut bundle of 42 pcs of 10″ squares, 20 different fabrics. Included with this pack is a light and dark coordinating fabric. This collection is so pretty that I had to use it right away, you’ll be seeing it for my August challenge.
I’m really looking forward to the November challenge because I can really use some organization in my life. Room With a View is a pattern by byAnnie. They are containers that sip around the top and have clear vinyl on the front to make viewing what’s inside more convenient.
Aurifil Thread left to right. 50wt cotton 3840 such a pretty lavender, the salmon is an 80wt thread, the green is floss, 50wt cotton 6723 which is a soft pink, and monofilament thread.
GO! North Carolina Star-12″ Finished Die. AccuQuilt sent all of the ambassadors the same die and it will be featured in the October challenge.
