Island Batik Box 2 reveal
Today I am sharing the opening of the 2020 box 2 from Island Batik. AccuQuilt, Hobbs Batting and Aurifil have returned this year as industry partners and wow, they were very generous. In addition to the before mentioned , byAnnie and Deb Tucker Studio 180 Designs have joined in the fun and it is going to be a great 6 months. Thank you Island Batik and all industry partners.
Products in this post were given to me by Island Batik as a 2020 Ambassador, see disclosure here.
I’ve also recorded a video of the unboxing which you can view at the end of this post.
Black, Gray, White and Rice from the Foundations Collection. These are all batik and available throughout the year.
Sunset Blooms was designed by Kathy Engle for Chris Hoover of Whirligig Designs. These are available in stores now. Isn’t it gorgeous?
Peacock Galore was designed by Claudia Pfeil of Claudia Pfeil Designs. Precuts are available now and yardage will be in your shops September/October.
Stash Builders, more solids and prints from the Foundation Collection.
Two Surprise bundles that will be shared later in the year, I’ve only peaked since the packages are ripped. Hobbs Batting sent Heirloom® Premium 80/20 Black Cotton/Poly Blend, which is great for those dark backgrounds. Heirloom® Premium 80/20 Fusible Cotton/Poly Blend , Hobbs Tuscany Silk Batting, and Heirloom® Premium 80/20 Fusible Cotton/Poly Blend Batting Strips.
One of our monthly challenges will feature byAnnie and another with Aurifil Thread.
The August Challenge will feature Deb Tucker Studio 180 Design rulers.
Last but certainly not least, AccuQuilt sent each Ambassador their new GO! Me Fabric Cutter. This set includes a half square triangle and quarter square dies along with a cutting mat and pattern book. The GO! Me is a scaled down version of the GO!, it is also much lighter so carrying it to a guild meeting makes it more convenient and has a great price tag. It has other great selling points which I will share with you next week.
The July Challenge is, “Christmas In July”. We were to make a small project and gift the project and the GO! Me to someone. So be sure to stop by next week to see what I made with this and to whom it was gifted, times 2.
The video I hinted at. I’m such a newbie with videos.

What a great haul! Have you used Deb Tucker’s tools much? I have hunter star and one of her FG trimmer (I think that is the one) and love them. Have a great second half…I’ll be watching.
No, this is actually the first time I’ve used them. At first I was really nervous because I’m more of a visual learner and don’t follow directions. My top is done awaiting quilting.
Lots of goodies there! Looking forward to seeing what you create with all of it.
Oh I know, and another package is on its way.
Like Christmas in July! So much inspiration in a box, and you got the new Go cutter. Looking forward to seeing what you creat in the next few months.
It is Christmas in July, or at least that is the challenge theme this month. Stop by on the 30th to see what I made with it, I think you will like it.
Enjoy creating with your new goodies.
I will, my mind is already churning.
