One border left on the new mosaic quilt
One border left for the new mosaic quilt. Initially I had planned on a snails tail border all the way around the outside. After re-making a couple of the blocks I am down to 1 yard of the light blue background fabric. I don’t want to risk not having enough so I am settling on a solid border. With any luck I should be able to finish it off tonight and load it on the frame tomorrow.
The fabric is Anthology. The background is one of the lightest blues in their Lava Solids line and very hard to get the true blue in a photo. The bottom left of the photo is pretty close to the actual color. I’m not going to fret too much on the photos until it’s quilted. Then I will try shooting photos during different times of the day to see if it will make a difference.
My next quilt is still undecided. After this quilt is bound I will have to look at my fabric and my designs to see what I can make next. Perhaps another scrap quilt that I can share the pattern for. Until then, visit the links below to see other fabulous quilts.
Update 12-14
Quilting is almost complete. I’ve stepped outside my comfort zone with variegated thread and spirals. Now to come up with a filler between the spirals.

Thank you Jennifer. Still deciding on which quilt to make next. I’d like to use up the fabric leftover from this quilt before starting on a new design.

This is gorgeous!!
Thank you, I hope my quilting doesnt destroy it.
Beautiful! I particularly like the circling Flying Geese. Are they paper pieced?
Yes, the geese and medallion are paper pieced. Otherwise I wouldn’t have any sanity left.
This is stunning! Seen in context of the quilt the Center medallion absolutely pops and the 4 looping stars shine bright!
Thank you, I love it. Its been a struggle deciding on the quilting design for negative space
