PP Tutorial part 3-Inventory Quilt Project
Welcome to Part 3 of my tutorial.
Have you joined the Inventory Quilt Project with Just Wanna Quilt? Click here to be taken to the FB page.
Today I am sharing a video (below) on how to trim your templates once you have them pieced. But I’ll share a brief description with photos.
We all have those corner patches that refuse to lay flat for trimming or when we begin to construct the quilt. Apply a small dab from your glue stick and smooth fabric.
Lay the quarter inch line of your ruler on the seam line of the template.
Trim with your rotary cutter.
Continue around the template.
I invite you to ask questions or point out what I have not made clear in each individual post. The post will then be edited to answer the questions. If you should ask a question or offer a suggestion on making the tutorial better I will drop your name into a bucket for a giveaway at the end of the month. For all non US residents I will be giving a pdf pattern of your choice. For US resident you can chose one of the following, the pattern of your choice or a small goodie TBD by me.
Love how this is coming together! Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
Thanks Jennifer
I love the colors you’ve chosen! This is going to be fabulous!

Wow Denise, that looks complicated. The glue stick tip is a good one… I always get caught on trying to trim those bits that are at the end. Thanks for joining in the Chameleon’s colour & inspiration party.
The glue stick is a life saver. I’ve clipped several corners off that have folded down while trimming.
Yeah, me too. 🙁
Hi Denise, your instructions and your video are great! I really like what you did with the center piecing. I think that I`ll look into that. Did you sew around the sew line to attach the centre pieces to the paper? After watching your video, I just may have to go look for fabric to make this. Thanks for linking up to Free Motion Mavericks! have a great week and stay healthy.
For the center, I just applied a few dabs of glue stick to each template and smoothed the fabric down.glad the instructions and video are clear.
A great looking piecing of paper piecing work – thanks for the tut!
Thank you Susan
Hi Denise! Ooh, the fabrics you chose for this quilt are just gorgeous. I especially love the light yellow. It looks so nice with the background fabric – it pulls the bit of yellow out of it and highlights it just perfectly. ~smile~ Roseanne
Thanks Roseanne, it all meshes together perfectly.
Thanks for linking up, Denise! I appreciate it. Every time I see those fabrics together I say “ooooh” to myself. I just love it. ~smile~ Roseanne
Thank you Roseanne. Hopefully I will be sharing its finish soon, trying to motivate myself to load it on the frame again.
