Put your foot down 199
Put your foot down 199, is a weekly linky party occurring every Thursday for you to share your WIP’s, UFO’s, new finishes, or any fiber arts projects. Thank you all for linking up each week!
Whats under my foot…
is a pillow for the Island Batik August challenge. For this challenge I decided to use Ornate Gems 10″ stack, designed by Kathy Engle for Island Batik. Originally I was going to make a quilt for my grandson Wesley but decided to make a large lounging pillow for him.

Welsey likes your typical boy things. He lets me know when there is an airplane flying over the house if we are on the deck, he can be very insistent. This cute AcuQuilt GO! Airplane die and its free embroidery was perfect for what I had in mind.
At the moment, you can find Ornate Gems at Creekside Quilts.

Once it is complete I will share a closeup of the embellishments I added to the planes.

Hopefully, we will be closing on our new home next week.
Your shares from last week

Ann-Marie shared her Betty quilt top, and I love the fabrics she chose. To see more visit Stories From the Sewing Room.

Celine from Espritpatch shared a scrappy basket, in fact she shared two in this post. Hmm, I may have to give basket making a try.

Hi Denise, your quilted pillow is lovely. I’m pretty sure that I saw it on Instagram. I’ve been spending my time there since I have my son’s dog this week. Lots of time in the living room and backyard – but at least I can hand stitch there. Good luck with the house… it’s such a long process.
Thank you. Hope you had a good visit.
Thank you for featuring my little basket, more to share this week!
You’re welcome, thank you so much for joining.
