Put you foot down #26
Welcome to another Put your foot down. Thank you everyone for making this possible by sharing all your quilty goodness week after week.
What’s under my foot?
Do you remember this quilt? I gifted it to my cousin Debra whom I’ve dubbed my #1 fan. She always has a kind word of encouragement when I share my projects on Facebook. In fact, I don’t think she has ever missed a quilt I have shared online. I loved everything about this quilt so I decided to make another in different colors and share a tutorial.

I know what you’re thinking, “there’s a lot of hst’s that make up this quilt”. If you have an AccuQuilt cutter you’ll show those finicky things who’s boss. If you don’t, I’ll be sharing my non paper method of making 8 hst’s at a time. So get your fabric ready and come back next Thursday for Put your foot down and the tutorial. It is a quick quilt to make and an elegant design, IMO. Besides that, what better way to break up the winter blues than a cheerful Tiger Lily Quilt? You could also make one 32″ block and use it as a medallion, that’s perfectly fine.
Newletter
Something new to me, I am trying to find a good platform for sending my first ever newsletter and I am working on a qal idea. I haven’t done a quilt along since The Mosaic in 2018 I think it was. The plan is to send qal pattern through my newsletter. No start date has been set yet.
Would you be interested in joining a qal of my vertigo quilt?

Happenings
The Island Batik “A Piece of…” blog hop is in it’s 2nd week. So if you haven’t stopped by their blog and entered for a chance to win a precut bundle it’s not too late. For the curious, here is another sneak peak of my hop quilt.
Your shares from #25
Safe Harbour Seahorses by Clever Chameleon is so elegant. If you’ve never made a SAS quilt before I will tell you, pulling this design off was not an easy task.
Donnaleeq shared a new project for her entry way. But Fred stole the show.

I love your Tiger Lily, and i can’t wait for the tuto!
Stop by for Put your foot down this Thursday for the tutorial.
Very pretty Tiger Lily quilt, Denise! I suffered from vertigo a couple years ago and it was terrible, so I wouldn’t be able to make or look at a quilt by that name–sorry!!!
I am a vertigo sufferer myself and that is how I came up with the name for the quilt. When I looked at the photos I had the feeling of vertigo. But not while I was making it. Come back next week, I’ll be sharing a tutorial for the Tiger Lilies quilt.
I LOVE Tiger Lily!!! SEW pretty! The quilt-along sounds interesting. Add me to your newsletter!
Lol, I have to figure it out first. There are a couple I tested but I can’t find step by step directions. I’m pretty techy but these are way above me to figure it out on its own.
Hi Denise! Wow, that Tiger Lily quilt sure is pretty. I love the fabrics and the soft colors. I am quite interested in seeing your IBA project so I’ll definitely be back. ~smile~ Roseanne
Thank you Roseanne. Be sure to come back next Thursday when I will share pattern/tutorial for the Tiger Lilies quilt. You could make it over the weekend.
I’ve been following the Piece of blog hop every day, can’t wait to see your quilt!
I feel like a child on Christmas Eve waiting for the reveal. Using all those fabrics I was nervous about the finish but I am very happy with it. It’s new owner is as well.
A charity quilt waiting to be bound and a wallhanging for me that is waiting to get quilted. And I see the other post on this link party made the table runner I just bought the pattern for!! LOL
Small world isn’t it? It’s always fascinating to see the same pattern in different fabrics.
