Put your foot down #103

Put your foot down is a weekly linky party to share your WIP’s and finishes, and hopefully make new friends along the way.

Welcome, I invite you to stop in every Thursday and linkup your fabric arts.

All the pieces for the new commissioned quilt have been cut and laid out and moved to waiting. The fabric is Island Batik and you can see more about it here. Almost all of the patches were cut using an AccuQuilt die.

Once these blocks are pieced I will add dinosaur appliques. Hoping this will make another little boy very happy. Have you noticed I am doing more patchwork quilting?

On the design wall is a quilt I am making for AccuQuilt. They’re updating their quilt gallery with more modern fabrics and asked if I’d be interested in remaking one of their quilts. I’ll share as soon as I can.

Next will be the July blocks for the Log Cabin Tree of Life qal. I can’t believe its almost over, it’s been fun and has taught me a lesson in self control. Just because it’s there does not mean you have to finish it before you begin a new quilt.

Working on an idea for a new qal.

Spiral Nova from Storied Quilts is amazing! The fabric is Island Batik Plum Pudding designed by Kathy Engle. There is a blog tour happening through the 25th of this month so hop over for links and additional photos of Spiral Nova.

If you don’t look at anything else you have to go look at this Modern Drunkards Path from Quilting Patchwork Appliqué it is gorgeous.

  1. I’m just now in love with all blue and white fabrics. And I’m looking forward to seeing your dinosaur quilt. Have a nice end of the week. I will, as I’m going to meet other quilters this weekend to plan a large event after Christmas.

Sounds fun. I’m looking for something that reminds me of the china blue china.

  2. Hi,
Love the blue fabric…it will be a beautiful quilt when finished. Have a great day!
