Put your foot down is a weekly linky party to share your WIP’s and finishes, and hopefully make new friends along the way.
Welcome, I invite you to stop in every Thursday and linkup your fabric arts.
Welcome to Put your foot down. Since last week I have managed to finish piecing the last few blocks for the Tree of Life QAL. For me it doesn’t feel like its been a year but here is the stack of blocks to prove it.
After it was too late I realized I either messed up piecing a block or placed a block in the wrong spot. It’s way too late now.
Decided to put a flying geese border on my Tree of Life. AccuQuilt sent the 6″ flying geese die with the AccuQuilt Big and because I want this quilt to finish much larger I started cutting and chain piecing geese that will add another 12″ to the top.
84 flying geese later. The fabric is Moonstone and Rice from Island Batik. Moonstone reminds me of an Opal before cutting. You’ll see more of the colors in this fabric in the July 1st post for the Quilt Along.
I am lost, heart broken and feel very disoriented. Monday I had to put my Enzo to sleep. He had been sick since the beginning of the pandemic, battling ongoing staph infections along with other issues too many to list. But in the last couple of weeks he lost his sight and hearing. It was heart breaking to watch him run around the house frightened looking for me and believing I had left him, running into walls and us. He loved being cradled like a baby and chasing me around the house awaiting a quilt to hit the floor so he could be included in the picture.
Today we have Prairie Flowers by Quarter Inch-Capers (love that name), isn’t is pretty?
Look out though because the Hungry Caterpillar loves flowers. Sunshine in the Attic shared this adorable finish.
If you have trouble adding your link change https to http and that should do it.
