Put your foot down #123

Put your foot down is a weekly linky party to share your fiber arts WIP’s and finishes, and hopefully make new friends along the way. Welcome, I invite you to stop in every Thursday and share your projects.

Welcome to another Put your foot foot down! I’m so excited to finally be able to share my November Island Batik finish.

I absolutely love the golds. You can see the post here and be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom. There is a rafflcopter for you to enter for a chance to win one of two precut bundles. Unfortunately Celestials isn’t one of them.

There is some slow sewing going on right now while I decide how to arrange my space for new cabinets and machine table. As a bonus I’m cleaning up old scraps that have been around for several years.

I love Churn Dash blocks and thought I had the quick method down until AccuQuilt sent me the die. OMG, I had 4 blocks cut and pieced in less than an hour. There is a 9″ block for the GO! and a 12″ block for the GO! Big.

Your shares from last week

Gretchen’s Little Corner shared her Flower Patch SAL block. I love everything about this block, especially that blue and her background fabric.

If you have not already visited Vicki’s Crafts and Quilting to see her gnomes, what are you waiting for? This has to be the most adorable thing I’ve seen all year.

Sherrie from Food For Thought shared Sue. Or at least I think it is Sue?

  1. Hi Denise, I just read your post – amazing! I love how you’ve incorporated all of these elements, from the Mariner’s compass to the turtle and of course flying geese 🙂 I think that this is one of my favourite quilts….to admire (not to make lol). Congrats on a wonderful finish. Take care.

    1. Thank you Andrée. Wish I had thought beyond the turtle and compass to allow for more than just a scrappy finish. It was fun and challenging though and I love it.

  2. The turtle was a complete surprise! Love this quilt. The variety of golds with the dark blue — gorgeous. I think you’re the best kind of affiliate for these brands, Denise. You really offer great perspective on the various products’ uses and attributes. I hope these companies appreciate you!
