Put your foot down 137
Put your foot down 137 is a weekly linky party to share your fiber arts WIP’s and finishes, and hopefully make new friends along the way. Welcome, I invite you to stop in every Thursday and share your projects.
What’s under my foot
So happy to announce the March AccuQuilt project is complete and the March Island Batik project is under my needle. This months challenge is to highlight industry partner Aurifil and the thread I received, Sicily Yellow. Sicily Yellow comes from their Italy Color Builders.
Since I have never been to Italy but admire the art and architecture online and in books coming up with a design idea was difficult. There are beautiful gardens in Italy therefor I decided to find an embroidery design. More on that later but here is my start. The black is an Island Batik solid.

Your shares from last week
Oh my, so impressive. Turid of Den syende himmel shared her mini La Passion. Can you imagine hand stitching 1/4″ hexies?
Canyon Rim Quilting shared this beautiful WIP Snowflake quilt.
Hi Denise, I see that you are keeping busy 🙂 I was doing so well at the end of last week but then had to frantically work on my blog hop piece which is coming out in an hour. I’m exhausted, but I did want to say hi. I’m now going to check your other posts before going to bed. Take care.
It has been crazy busy around here with work and sewing. Looks like there may be time to squeeze in some relaxed sewing.
Those mini hexies are just amazing!
They are, can you imagine hand stitching all of them?
The yellow on black is so striking but I know you know I love brights on black! It makes them sing. I can’t wait to see the finished project.
Thank you. I think this will hang on the wall in my sewing room 🙂
Great embroideries with beautiful thread. Thanks for featuring me.
You’re welcome, I am loving your progress.
Your embroidery is yellow is so sunny and looks amazing!!!
Thank you. First I tried with a white background and the yellow didn’t show up as well. I love it with the black.
