Put your foot down 143

Put your foot down 143 is a weekly linky party to share your fiber arts WIP’s and finishes, and hopefully make new friends along the way. Welcome, I invite you to stop in every Thursday and share your projects.

What’s under my foot?

embroidery hoop holder

This week I have done a little relaxed sewing with improv sewing/machine embroidery. These embroidery hoops needed a home and what better than a sewing machine embroidery design. I found these on Kreative Kiwi and I wish they photographed better.

First I used the largest hoop and added the designs on all 3 pocket fronts and bound the top.

Then I cut two solid pieces of scrap and batting roughly an inch and a half wider than the largest hoop.

Also using a design for quilting from Kreative Kiwi I quilted the sandwich and added the pockets then bound it all.

If you make something like this don’t forget to add a way to hang it like I did.

No sock sock monkey

Monday I shared the April Island Batik finish using a pattern from Funky Friends Factory. You can see that post here. I think Wesley liked meeting John.
