What’s under my foot

Just like last week I have no project to share today since it’s a new technique for me. Next week I will have something to share. But…I’ve lost an item in my sewing room (a couple months ago) and added a few more so I’ll share them today.

Recently I had a mishap in my sewing room. The dry erase board came down on my Juki while I was rearranging everything. The Juki hit the floor and bounced a couple of times landing about 5′ away from the table. The take up lever was jammed against the left of the body. the needle threader is broken and both tension knobs bent down. The worst part, and the needle bar is bent. There’s still a couple parts that went flying laying somewhere in my room. The aluminum body is also twisted. I’m really excited to receive my new straight stitch machine, so hurry up Mr Postman.

AccuQuilt just released a new GO! Handle Upgrade Kit and sent one to me. The old handle is still attached in the photo below. The new handle actually feels good on the palm of my hand where the diameter increases. I also used my rewards points to get the new Canning Jar 8″ block and the Leaping Frog die. Perhaps I’ll pickle some frog legs, lol. Is that even a thing?

Oh my, this is so much cutting, but worth it in the end. Sew Sunshine shared her beautiful finish clamshell finish for Project Quilting.

  1. Hi Denise, Good luck with your projects! Thanks for featuring my project. Version 2.0 is now bound and washed. Hopefully today or tomorrow is the day that I take pictures outside….somehow. It’s sunny with a few feet of snow, so I’ll have to be creative 🙂 Take care.

    1. You know, some of the most beautiful quilt photos include a snowy backdrop. Will hop over to see if its posted when I am caught up.

    1. I haven’t tried it since I mostly use the electric cutter but it feels like it will be easier on the palms.

    1. So frustrating, if I hadn’t been moving things it would have been inside one of my sewing cabinets.
