Put your foot down 176

Welcome to another addition of Put your foot down, thank you for joining us. In case this is your first time visiting, Put your foot down in a weekly linky party occurring every Thursday. Though fiber arts is the preferred medium, you can share other crafty projects as well, so let get inspired.

What’s under my foot

Of course Loki is, he has to be the center of attention and sitting in my chair while I ironed wasn’t cutting it. He kept jumping from the chair to the table and headed straight for the fabric.

The strips are from an Island Batik Stash Builder pack that was sent to me as an Ambassador and their black solid scraps I had. After a good press I cut the strips and black fabric using the AccuQuilt 2 1/2″ strip die. This is the first time I have made a strip quilt (that I can recall), more to come soon.

    1. Thank you Brenda. The die for my embellishments arrives today so I will be sharing its finish soon. Loki is headed to the groomer next week.

  1. Hi Denise, the black accents in your strip quilt are going to help make all that gorgeous fabric pop. Of course Loki is on your fabric since that’s what you’re paying attention to! Thanks for the linking party!

    1. Of course, he has to be the center of attention and if he is not, he has to be part of the center of attention.

    1. Thank you, that means lot. I am not much of a scrappy quilter but I have to start or get larger boxes for the scraps. The stash builders were great to get my feet wet.

  2. Loki is the cutest thing! Cute fabrics you’re working with, too, Denise!!!

  3. I love that purple/blue/green batik under Loki’s foot. My baby quilt is mostly Island Batiks, except for a few of the applique pieces.
