Whats under my foot…

the login issues have been resolved.

The house hunt is not going so well, everything is selling so fast but there is hope on the horizon. The house of my son’s former summer babysitter went up for auction Saturday. It needs a lot of work. When the home was built they used carpet padding between the logs on the home and did not go over the joints with the compound to make it water tight. There are several logs that need to be replaced.

On the inside, because they did not put a barrier between the steel roofing and the insulation there is some water damage on the ceilings. Despite all this, I need a home and a permanent place to sew, so the bidding has begun. At the moment I am the only bidder and auction closes Monday. I’m certain others will bid and they are just waiting to see where the bidding goes.

Ornate Gems designed by Kathy Engle for Island Batik is the first fabric I will be using in the second half of the year. You can see more about them and the contents of the entire shipment here.

We have to start fresh, all of my previous linky parties are not longer in my account so I have no way of knowing who linked what up week before last. Feel free to share that again along with your current project. So sorry for all the confusion.

  1. Hi Denise, good luck with the house hunting. That must be so stressful. It sounds like this house could use a lot of work – hope it works out! Looking forward to seeing what you make with all of that wonderful fabric!

  2. I have a lot going on this week and won’t have a post to share. I hope you have the top bid on the house and it doesn’t go too outrageously high!
