Whats under my foot…

sewing room organization

A mess for sure. Remember me sharing photos of the closet with upper cabinets stacked in it?

new closet, sewing room organization

Well, those have come out and have found their way under my quilting frame. Even though this room is larger than my sewing room at the old house (2′ wider and 6′ deeperI had been searching for book shelves or anything that I could place under it, besides totes and these fit perfect. My sister encouraged me to use them under the frame so… I haven’t decided if I will put fabric or AccuQuilt dies in them.

We added a window unit because it stays warm up there and at the moment the outdoor unit of the ac does not work. Fall is coming and chances are it wont be replaced until spring.

Saturday we went to the storage unit in search of the carriage for the longarm, we didn’t find it. Things are stacked in there so well with no room to maneuver. It will be a bit before I can use it anyway, the humidity was hard on my zippered leaders.

On the way home we were rear ended at a stop light, my neck and shoulders are sore which makes sewing and organizing at the moment uncomfortable. Strange thing, my foot hurts too. No broken bones. Until we clean out the storage unit I am working from the sofa and so thankful to be able to do so.

Your shares from last week

Chris from Quilting at the farm shared her progress on Bright Jane Blocks.

Lynn from My Quilts and Crafts shared an UFO from 2013, if I read correctly, it found its way to the longarm today for quilting.

Thank you ladies, I cant wait to see your finishes.

There are other great projects linked up last week and I am sorry I cannot share them all. But, you can visit all of them here.

  1. I can’t imagine you not having your sewing room setup – you get so much done it must be driving you nuts. It will come together…soon. Sorry about the rear-ending but glad there was nothing major. Hope the bruises heal quickly.

    1. It is mostly done now, except for what is left in storage. I cannot believe the difference a few feet in both directions make, I now have room to walk around. If needed I could push my frame a little closer to the wall for even more space. Yes, it has been driving me crazy since we were in the rental.
