Quilt of Valor
Quilters and designers from AccuQuilt and Moda are on a year long mission to pay it forward. In January I made my first Quilt of Valor for the year and presented it to a local businessman, see post here. Also in January as part of the Island Batik challenge I made and presented another to a friend, see post here.
Quilt of Valor #3
Using the 8″ Mix and Match Qube from AccuQuilt and Island Batik fabric from their Foundations Collection I now have a third Quilt of Valor for the year. The fabrics are Candy, Storm and White Solid.

The dies are 4″ finished square and 4″ finished half square triangles to make a 12″ block.

QOV recipient
This quilt was awarded to one of my favorite truck drivers. Because I could not award the quilt myself I mailed it to his nephew, also a favorite truck driver who then awarded it for me.
John is an veteran of the Gulf War who owns and operates John McCammon Trucking out of Indiana.

Quilt label

Just a real simple label I created using my Bernette B79 sewing/embroidery machine and my favorite Aurifil Thread color.
Quilting and batting

Just a simple loop de loop pattern on my longarm using Aurifil Forty3 and Hobbs Heirloom Cotton Batting.
A beautiful QOV, and I’m sure it was appreciated.
