Final linkup, Log Cabin Tree of Life

quilt along, tree of life quilt, log cabin quilt, log cabin tree of life quilt

Here we have the final post for the Log Cabin Tree of Life QAL. Each month as new templates were released there were a lot of downloads, however there have only been 2 participants who have linked up every single month.

My almost finished quilt

To my quilt I have added a 6″ flying geese border and plan to add another border as time allows. For now it will remain hanging and getting pushed to the side as priorities are added. Hopefully it will be complete by the end of August.

For the geese border I used the 6″ finished Flying Geese die from AccuQuilt. Border pattern not included in the QAL.

The prizes

island batik

Provided both ladies link up their flimsy before the end of August, each will receive a fq bundle of Floralicious. Originally there was only going to be 1 bundle but since we only have 2 quilters linking and I purchased many of these for myself I thought what the heck. So hurry up ladies and link up so I divide and put a shipping label on these.

giveaway

Look at all these wonderful patterns provided by some talented designers, I sure wish I could keep a few of these for myself. I will divide these equally..

The winner/s will also get to choose from 2 patterns in my Esty Shop.

A HUGE thank you to Island Batik

Island Batik supplied the sample fabrics for the QAL. Please refer to the fabric chart in the pattern for sku’s. All fabric used in my quilt are from the Foundations Collection which consist of solids, blenders, neutrals and basics.

The reason I chose the fabrics I did is because they are available throughout the year. There’s nothing more frustrating than finding a pattern you love but can no longer find the fabrics in the sample.

And now, the final link up.

  1. My sewing machine is still not fixed. Long waiting list :-(. I am looking forward to seeing what your next border will be on your quilt.

    1. Oh no, I’d say so. Do you have a backup machine? I have one more small project to make then I will add my final border, so excited to get this one done.
