Free quilt along has ended
63″ x 63″ finish, 7″ finished blocks.
Paper pieced quilt. For those who do not want to pp all of the log cabin blocks for the background/sky, instructions will be given to replace these with solid patches.
For my quilt I will be using Island Batik Fabrics from their Foundations. I chose these fabrics because unlike other fabric collections Foundations are always available. Click on the Store Locator button to find stores in your area who carry Island Batik fabrics.

how will it work?
The first of each month beginning Aug 1st, 2020, new templates will be released to complete 7 blocks. Included in the download will be a colored block diagram along with the fabric cutting suggestions.
Beginning September 1st there will be a linky party to share your progress. See Prizes below for information.
Download links will be available on this page and in the post I write for each month. Come to this page for all links if you miss a specific post. Finishing up- August 1, 2021, outside border and construction will be released.
Fabric requirements are estimated by piecing the templates with strips. If your chosen method of pre-cutting is different you may need to purchase additional fabric.

The first of each month I will host a linky party. You MUST link up your current blocks each month to be entered for the drawing at the end of the qal.
- The first link up will be posted Sept 1st for the August blocks. You can link up your August blocks anytime throughout the month of September.
- October 1st will be the link up for the September blocks and you will have through the end of October to add your September photos.
- If you don’t have a blog to link up from just let me know and I will add it for you.
- Once the linky party closes on the last day of the month at 11:59pm central time it is closed permanently and you will no longer be entered into the giveaway.
